About the Kindred Spirit Sim

I created this sim after reading the book Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks. I became fascinated by this real life place located on Bird Island in North Carolina. I've visited the mountains of North Carolina many times but had never visited this beach location. Since the other sims I have created on Second Life tend to be romantic places, I felt this was an ideal theme for a new sim.

What is a Kindred Spirit?

 The formal definition is someone who has similar interests or concerns. There are many definitions but here is one I found and liked. When two people are connected with a bond from the soul so strong that their souls become one and they can even feel each other's pain and happiness.

Why a mailbox on a beach?

The Kindred Spirit mailbox is a place in real life where people can visit and share their thoughts,  memories , art, etc. in writing. Some share anonymously while others include their names. All write and leave their work knowing that someone else will  see and read their thoughts and learn from their experiences.
